Signs of Panic Disorders and How to Handle Unwanted Thoughts

The symptoms of panic disorder you just saw are just part of the many symptoms.

Below is the list of symptoms I got elsewhere.

  • Skin losing color
  • Depersonalization (feeling outside yourself or like you don’t exist)
  • Sweating
  • Fear of losing control or going crazy
  • Chest pain or discomfort
  • Shaking visibly or inside
  • Feeling light-headed
  • Dizziness or unsteadiness
  • Inappropriate/Disturbed thoughts
  • Muscle pain, especially in neck or shoulders
  • Derealization (feeling unreal or dreamy)
  • Chills or hot flushes
  • Rapid heart beat, pounding heart or palpitations
  • Choking sensations or lump in throat

You would know when you have a panic attack. The change won’t be subtle and some might even think that they would die. Anxiety is the seed of panic attacks and is mainly caused by fear. It does not matter whether the fear is irrational or not. Too much adrenaline caused by fear can be detrimental to your mind. Too much adrenaline can do much damage to your mind and body.

Probably the best approach for handling anxiety is to control your thoughts and not let it control you. These thoughts take away your mental energy, put you on edge and clutter your minds. If you let your unwanted thoughts overcome you, fear and anxiety will take over and pretty soon you’ll have a panic attack. Things will seem to get worse to no end.

By first being aware of your thoughts you can then let it run its course until they go away. You know what I mean right? Sometimes the thought are there but it doesn’t necessarily mean you are aware of them. But you would surely be aware of its effects if you don’t acknowledge it. You can be in much better shape by simply taking notice of what you’re thinking at any given moment. You can even go further by making it a point to ask yourself what you’re thinking at any moment. You can control it but you have to be aware first.

Most of your unwanted thoughts would probably go away once you are aware of it. Practice this and make it a habit and you’ll be on your way to becoming anxiety free.
