Using Baking Soda For Acne
A lot of people are asking about the connections of baking soda to pimples. Well then it’s time to end the debate. Yes, baking soda is an effective pimple treatment. And yes, I am speaking from personal experience. Here are some baking soda options as home acne treatments.
As a face mask
Baking soda acne treatment is pretty basic but produces excellent results. You can start creating paste through baking soda and water mixture. This is placed on the skin for the next fifteen minutes. When removed using warm water, not only does it clean the skin but leaves it much softer and fresh looking. You can do this four times every week, preferably done before going to sleep. Of course, like other home acne remedies, you must first wash your face with warm water before doing this. Rubbing towel on your skin is also not a good idea. Gentle patting or dabbing would be preferable.
Baking Soda Spot Treatment
Now this method of treating acne with baking soda is pretty much the same with the first one. However, what you do is place the paste on the pimple itself. It can be left overnight and removed in the morning. Baking soda basically dries out the skin and removes the trapped oil in the pores. Again, a clean towel is necessary to pat dry.
Scars and baking soda
There are those who say that baking soda can reduce the amount of scars. Most people are very adamant about the truthfulness of this method.
Trying it out first
People who have sensitive skin are not advised to use this acne treatment method. Try putting baking soda paste on the inside of your wrist first to test. Let it stay there for some time. If you notice any unnatural redness or itchiness on that area, then skip the whole baking soda routine and find another option.
There are still other methods you might want to try if you are allergic to baking soda. You might also want to try out garlic, pumpkin or toothpaste. Garlic and pumpkin are very effective face masks. They also double as scar removers so it’s a win-win situation. Toothpaste is applied directly on a pimple and left overnight.
Remember that these methods don’t work super fast. However, you shouldn’t have any problems sticking to the routine. Also, don’t forget to lie an active and healthy lifestyle. This will supply your skin with the necessary nutrients to keep it healthy. Wash your face daily and never forget to remove make up before going to bed.
